Northwestern Polytechnical University is New Partner of KNRTU-KAI

Russian and Chinese universities signed an agreement on a joint work program.

On Wednesday, September 19, the delegation of representatives from Northwestern Polytechnical University (China) visited KNRTU-KAI. It included pro-rector of NPU, specialist in engines He Guoqiang, vice-director of the Institute of International Education in NPU Syn Ubin,  and also the employees of the department of aircraft engines. Main purpose of the visit was enhanced cooperation between Russian and Chinese universities.

Northwestern Polytechnical University, NPU, was founded in 1938 in Xian. There are 13 institutions in NPU, full-time bachelor course has 52 specialties, magistracy has 90 specialties, graduate course – 48 specialties. There are more than 1300 professors and assistant professors working in NPU, about 300 of them – PhD, and 15 academicians of Chinese academia of Science and Academia of engineering science among them. NPU is one of the top-3 universities in Shaanxi Province and ranks 40th out of 1,100 Chinese universities.

 Before the beginning of negotiations guests had being rewieved the university activity and laboratories. KNRTU-KAI was represented  by Tatiana Stanko, Vice-rector for the development of KNRTU-KAI, and the deputy head of the Office of International Affairs Alexandr Snegurenko.

The parties signed an agreement on joint work between the two universities, and also discussed during the meeting the details of joint work and the definition of the curriculum of joint specialties.
