The 2nd Space Exploration Summer Camp

We invite our undergraduate students to take part in “Aeronautics and Cosmonautics” summer camp held in China during 15-21 July, 2018 and supported by Aerospace Innovation Alliance.

The camp will be held in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China based on Northwestern Polytechnical University. The students of KNRTU-KAI are invited by Aerospace Innovation Alliance on a competitive basis.

Who can become a participant? The students of the 3rd year and higher studying aeronautics and cosmonautics or similar fields with the fluent level of English.

For the summer camp, the Alliance will cover the expense of local accommodation, local transportation and cultural visits in Qingdao. The welcome dinner and farewell dinner will be arranged and paid by the Alliance as well. All other expenses (including flights/trains to & from Qingdao) should be covered by participants.

Please fill the application form attached and send it to braia@nwpu.edu.cn together with the passport copies (non-Chinese participants only) before 5 July, 2018.

Agenda and more detailed information about the summer camp will be released at the beginning of July.

Northwestern Polytechnical University is a National Key University, directed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, located in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University. The university specializes in education and research in the fields of aeronautical, astronautical and marine engineering. And, NPU's engineering ranked the 10th among China's engineering universities. As of 2012, NPU has 13,736 graduate students (3,063 full-time doctorate candidates, 7,087 master candidates, 3,586 professional degree candidates) and 14,395 undergraduate students. The university is a member of Project 985 and Project 211. The summer camp will be held in Qingdao, located on the seashore, a huge industrial, economic and tourist center with its 54-stores skyscrapers. Had been being under the German authority for 16 years, the city got its unique architecture – from mansions with red tile roofs, gothic style churches to Buddhist temples.

Taking part in "II Space Investigation Camp” is a unique opportunity to develop your knowledge in the field of aeronautics and cosmonautics, to get useful experience in English communication, to get acquainted with Chinese culture, to broaden your mind and find new friends from all over the world!
